THE CONTRACT PROCESS

Note: We ONLY accept local authors. We are small, located in the Arts District of Las Vegas, and do not have the resources of larger publishers. We only take manuscripts from locals. 

PLEASE NOTE: THE BUSINESS IS STILL FORMING, WE ARE NOT YET TAKING SUBMISSIONS.

Step One: Your manuscript is complete. We only accept finished manuscripts. 

Step two: Review the genres we do not accept. We currently do not accept:

Children's books.

Picture books or books with photos.

Step three: Let's talk. Send an email to the editor. Tell us what you have. No email attachments please. (Viruses!) 

We will reply to all emails. If we aren't interested we will tell you. If we are interested we will ask to review the manuscript. After reading the manuscript, we will either decline the manuscript or offer a contract. Either way, we will let you know what we think.

If we have fallen in love with your manuscript, we will ask to meet in the Arts District to discuss the contract. Here is what we typically offer.

-An advance, generally under $1,000

-50% net royalties for all media forms.

YOU DO NOT PAY US.

We pay costs upfront for copy edit, audio books, hard cover books, etc. 

1) We always publish the book as an e-book. (+print on demand) Every manuscript will be copy edited, but we will not typically perform developmental editing.

2) Audio Books: Expensive to make. In consultation with the author, we will review production of an audiobook.

3) Hard Cover Books: Probably not. 

We try to get our local authors into local bookstores and libraries. At this time, we have no nation  wide distribution system in place. But most books these days are sold on Amazon anyway!
